Horse Camping in the Blue Ridge of Virginia Next to Shenandoah National Park - Horse Stalls or Hot Wire

Here on the farm, we have four ways for our riders to horse camp.

Campground for horse camping: our campground ranges from 7 acres to 50 acres according to the number of campers we expect.

Hot wire with your rig:
The campground is free-form - make your own space in your own way. Use as much or as little space as you need. Drive your rig to where you want to be in the fields. Spigot for washing and watering on the side of the campground barn. All water is well water and potable - lightly chlorinated and tested.

Usually $25 a night, standard size, piping.

Stay at Joanie's Place with Three Stalls and Space for Hot Wire


The cabin is on the other side of the farm from the Campground - 1.75 miles away.
One queen bed and sleeper sofa.
Direct access to Doubletop Mountain and Rapidan Wilderness Trails.
Can ride over to the Main Lodge facilities and the Campground.
