Pony Rides in Madison County at Shenandoah National Park - all at the Stables of Graves Mountain Farm & Lodges

As part of our comprehensive horse riding program here for Madison, Greene, Rappahanock and Culpeper Counties, we offer pony rides here on the farm.
Children on pony rides do not handle the pony themselves, but they need to be old enough to sit up straight and hold their head up without support. Pony rides are pn on individually hand-led ponies,

on a well mannered pony.

These pony rides are in the stable paddock and farm-yard.

The ride will be a short tour around the farm-yard and round ring.

And in the farm-yard are goats, baby goats, calves, ponies, and sheep.

Price: $10 per child ride - usually about ten minutes.

Ages, height and weight.
For children ages 4-7 years old

Children ages 2-3 years old must have an adult to walk beside to support the child in the event of imbalance on the far side of the pony.

Dress:
Closed toed shoes and preferable long trousers.
