Should a guest choose to stay through Saturday night, and would like a late check out on Sunday, please check with the Reservation Office.

Wednesday - the Day before Thanksgiving

We have all of the regular activities for "family time" as well as "alone time" for a massage.
Wednesday through Sunday - Activities and Adventuring

  1. Hiking - 29 miles of trails next to Shenadoah National Park for meandering and exploring.
  2. Stables - trail rides, pony rides, horse-riding lessons
  3. Learn to Fly Fish - with our fishing guide
  4. Fishing - two fishing streams and the Bass and Catfish Pond
  5. Nature Walks - explore, discover Fri and Sat at 11 AM from the Front Porch, with Jenn and Daniel of In True Nature
  6. UTV Rides with Guide - farm and mountains
  7. Massages - please pre-book by a day or more
  8. Yoga - Thursday at 10AM - Thanksgiving Thanks - Flow
    Friday and Saturday at 5PM with Jenn of In Trur Nature
  9. Game Room, old fashioned board games, Ping Pong, Foosball
  10. Vineyards--several just a short drive from the Main Lodge.
  11. Mountain Biking - easy to very technical trails here on the Farm
  12. Horse Trail Rides and Lessons
  13. Fly Fishing on our two mountain streams and two ponds
  14. Guided Blue Trail Hike (easy - just two short climbs) on Saturday at 2 PM
  15. Road Biking - easy rolls to hard climbs and downs runs
  16. Mountain Biking - easy through orchard to tough, super technical up Hells Trail on the Virginia Hare Course
  17. Craft Breweries--several just a short drive from the Main Lodge.
  18. Touring to Monticello (or a virtual tour here) or Montpelier (Thanksgiving schedule) historic houses, Civil War history trails - the encampment at Sperryville, the Barn Quilt tour of Greene County. or Luray Caverns up in Luray
  19. Antiquing - over 75,00 sq. ft. in Ruckersville. One mall here and there are many more.
  20. Reading - over a thousand titles in the Poplar Library - from detective to romance to discovery. Go out to Poplar Lodge and note - you may need a key from Front Desk, as it is usually open on weekends. 2nd floor front north "Library".

Yoga with Jenn of In True Nature - 10-11 AM, Giving Thanks Flow - all ages book here $10 PP

Then - In preparation for enjoying so much wonderful Holiday food, how about a family hike up Old Rag, (National Park Fees apply) , up our Double Top - a steep hard up and back climb on the trail behind Hilltop Lodge - see maps - or a family amble out Apple Tree Lane on the Blue trail to the Robinson River, along its side and loop up and back through the home orchard to the Farm and Apple Tree Lane again.
